It is buyers responsibility to know the rule for their County Fair.   There will be NO GUARANTEES on lambs bought at the sale.  
A tail measuring device will be available upon request to measure tails if needed.

*** Frederick County, MD require market goats to be dehorned and allow no scurs.  Berkeley County, WV, Jefferson County, WV and Clarke
County, VA allows horns but they must be blunt tipped.  Jefferson and Berkeley Counties also allow dehorned goats, however no scurs are
allowed at Jefferson County***

Lambs: 1/1/08-2/19/08
Goats: 12/1/07-2/19/08

Current honor flock certificate required, must be soremouth and foot rot free and have had all vaccinations and be dewormed prior to the sale; All animals
will be inspected before they can be unloaded.  
ALL ANIMALS MUST HAVE A SCRAPIE TAG.  Vet will be on premises, and can issue interstate
certificates for purchased animals travelling out of state,
buyers are responsible for any fee the vet may charge for this service.  

Out of state entries are required to have Health Certificates from their vet, which will be checked upon arrival.

All animals must be clean, feet must be trimmed, and lambs must be shorn.  Intact males should be castrated.  All animals must be in desirable condition,
and poor quality animals will be eliminated from the sale.

Consignors may bring their own bedding and clean their own pens, $5.00 will be deducted from your check for each pen that is not cleaned.  There will
also be sawdust available and pen cleaning (you don't have to do anything) for a $5.00 fee per pen, this service is provided by New Hopewell Farms 4-H
Club.  Pens will be assigned.  Limit 5 animals per species per consignor. Click on the links below for entry forms, you need Adobe Reader to open them.

Entry fee: $5.00 per head non-refundable entry fee to be sent in with entries, please make checks payable to
the Jefferson County 4-H Foundation

Commission is 5% of the sale price, No Sales pay 5% of the No Sale price

Sale order to be determined by drawing.  Lambs, goats, and hogs will be weighed and paint branded with their lot number.
